Sensation: Wok-Sport als olympische Disziplin anerkannt

Damit hätte wohl nicht einmal Stefan Raab selbst gerechnet. Das Olympia-Komitee ernennt den Wok-Sport erstmalig als olympische Disziplin an. Der nun unter “Woking” bezeichnete Wintersport, der von Stefan Raab das erste Mal 2003 in Winterberg eingeführt wurde, wird erstmalig an den Olympischen Winterspielen 2014 in Sochi, Russland ausgetragen.

Raab zeigte sich an der anschliessenden Pressekonferenz sehr euphorisch über die Verkündung: “Seit über 10 Jahren veranstalten wir die Wok WM und haben permanent an der Qualität des Wok-Sports gearbeitet. Damals sagten wir noch so aus Spass, es sollte eines Tages olympisch werden, aber ich glaube keiner hätte wirklich damit gerechnet, dass uns das auch wirklich gelingt. Jetzt ist nur zu hoffen, dass Georg Hackl noch frühzeitig zurücktritt.”

Ob sich Woking wirklich aber bewähren wird, muss sich noch 2014 in Sochi noch zeigen.
